Carolina Opry

The Carolina Opry is one of the oldest running live entertainment venues in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Calvin Gilmore brought Grand Ole Opry style entertainment to the Grand Strand twenty-five years ago. A record producing country music artist in his own right, he has gathered entertainers from the industry and brought them together to put on amazing live entertainment for locals and tourists alike. Three featured shows are offered on a regular basis, The Original Carolina Opry show, Good Vibrations and the Laser Show. A popular feature amongst the live entertainment venues of Myrtle Beach is a Christmas show. Carolina Opry is no exception to this tradition, especially since they created it.

The Opry show is a two hour event that includes comedy, music and dancing. Calvin Gilmore and twenty-four other live performers light up the stage during the summer 2010 and celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Carolina Opry in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Recently added to this number one entertainment venue is the Good Vibrations, 90 minute tour of music from the 60s, 70s and 80s. This is a theatrical and musical tribute to those decades.

Brilliant Laser Light Show, using the same lasers that were used by Pink Floyd and Madonna on their tours, is now being shown at the Carolina Opry. Shows are available daily in a variety of genres from classic rock to holiday themes. These 45 minute shows offer something for everyone with affordable ticket pricing.

The Carolina Opry Christmas special begins in November and continues through until New Year’s Eve. Make your holiday vacation at Myrtle Beach memorable when you enjoy the award winning combination of music, pageantry, comedy and dancing.
