House Of Blues
The House of Blues was created by Issac Tigrett. It became a dream of his to bring the music of the rural south to the world. Genres such as Blues, R&B, Gospel, Jazz and Rock & Roll can be heard at any of the locations nation wide. The House of Blues is dedicated to educating and promoting the history of Southern Culture and African Americans musical and artistic contributions.
The White Pointe Swash is now part of North Myrtle Beach along US Highway 17 South. This supposed favorite hiding spot of Edward “Blackbeard” Teach and Anne Bonney now houses the Myrtle Beach House of Blues venue. This venue was built to resemble an old southern farmhouse with an attached tobacco warehouse, covered with authentic tin from a tobacco barn from Jackson, Mississippi. The traditional “Crazy Quilt” is displayed prominently and a metal box of Mississippi Delta mud is kept below the stage.
The House of Blues Myrtle Beach keeps up with Issac Tigrett’s dream of bringing to life music, art and cuisine. From the Murder Mystery Dinner Theater to the stars who have graced the stage such as George Thorogood and The Detroyers and Sugarland. You can hear old fashioned gospel music and enjoy a southern style meal on Sundays during the Gospel Brunch. The menu is loaded with classic southern comfort foods from various regions of the southern United States.
