Ocean Watersports
When you think of Myrtle Beach what things come to mind? Golf, of course and white sandy beaches jump out as well. Surfing, sunbathing and people watching are popular beach past times. In Myrtle Beach there are other water sports that have become extremely popular with locals and visitors alike. Ocean Watersports provides convenient, enjoyable access to Parasailing, Banana Boat Rides and Jet Ski rentals. The check-in cabana is located on the beach, at 3rd Avenue South, behind Family Kingdom Waterpark.
New for 2011 is Ocean Watersports shop on the Boulevard, next to the ticket office of the amusement park.
Parasailing is an exciting challenge that combines acceleration with altitude. Guests will ride a banana boat through the waves to the parasailing boat. Once they arrive they will be seated and the ride will begin. The boat will begin moving and the crew will begin to let out the line, typically 600 feet of line. Guests will go up to 300 feet in the air. Exhilaration combined with scenic beach and ocean views make this an experience of a life time. The crew will be on hand to take high quality digital photographs of your ride.
The Banana Boat ride is an exemplary ride that is as fun as a jet ski but not quite as difficult. There are single and double banana boats to choose from. The single requires more balance to avoid tipping over; the double does not tip over. Banana boats are considered one of the safest pull behind water sports. Your ride will take along the coast line and then offshore for a view of the Grand Strand.
SeeDoo GTI jet ski rentals are available for a half an hour to an hour. The friendly staff of Ocean Watersports will demonstrate, instruct and give orientation on the use of the equipment. There is no experience necessary to rent a jet ski for some real water fun.
